Labor Day Reflection

Went down to the Detroit Jazz Festival on Saturday and then to Pontiac on Sunday for Arts, Beats, and Eats Festival. Always a nice time and I just love to see all of the music and people. Sometimes it is nice to see life outside of yourself and your small piece of existence.

I am trying to keep it together for 2009 when I will finally get to serious work on a CD I have been trying to record since 2006. I saw a wonderful artist in Pontiac who could sing beautifully and interact with an audience. It was amazing to see just a guitar and one person be able to hold and engage an audience of people on the spot. The artist was Emily Rose and she was a real professional. I intend to get to know her better next time she has a show in my area.

Moving Right Along...

Amazing how many times we finish our weekend and go right back to sleep... I am currently going to try a different approach this time. I have heard and read about living in the moment. I will try it this week. The thing is though; it is difficult to turn off the "business as usual" tapes... Warmer weather tends to make me more reflective and outgoing at the same time. It is definitely the energy of the season...

Tax Season

I hope you made your filing this year. After all the snow we had here I really enjoyed a pretty good return. I hope you did too.

Let's go to Taiwan!

Right now it feels like it would be a great time to go to Taiwan. I go there every year lately, around October-November time frame. In this picture I am a little heavier than usual. This is from a couple of years ago I think, like 2005... Taiwan is a great place I love hanging around with the people and sight seeing, and of course the great food. The Night Market is my favorite.

First Thought

Hello,
I have started a blog to just note certain events or moments as they come up. I hope to see you around sometime...
